New Senior Dormitory at St. Lawrence Seminary Takes Blessed Solanus Casey as Patron

Construction of Father Solanus Hall is well underway at St. Lawrence Seminary. This spring, St. Clare Guest House was razed to make room for the building of Father Solanus Hall, a new dormitory that will house the senior class beginning in August 2025. During the demolition of St. Clare Guest House, materials were salvaged for re-use and nearly 90% of the materials, including a substantial amount of brick, were prevented from going to a landfill and returned to the site. Construction crews have not wasted any time in getting the walls and structure in place prior to the onset of winter either. Deliveries of materials are nearly a daily norm, with the large air handlers already installed. Students seem optimistic with how quickly the building has taken shape as they have been heard saying “so this building will be ready after Christmas?”
